Introduction
To ensure cleaning, stocking, and supplying cleaning materials to designated facilities at Chrysalis
Academy.
Duties & Responsibilities
● Ensure that the Academy’s facilities are cleaned and well maintained (halls, hostels, classrooms, outdoor
and tented camps);
● Ensure that the venues and ablutions across multiple venues are cleaned and well maintained;
● Ensure that the walls, floors & windows are cleaned and well maintained;
● Replenish sanitation at select venues;
● Assist with setting up an mopping up of certain venues as needed; and
● Ad-hoc responsibilities assigned within the Academy.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Requirements:
● A certificate in Cleaning Services will be advantageous;
● At least 3 – 5 years’ relevant cleaning experience (Industrial cleaning equipment);
● Understanding the holistic approach to youth development;
● Non-smoker leading a healthy and sober lifestyle; and
● Competent (verbal and written) in English and at least 1 other South African language.
Skills and competencies:
● Ability to work effectively and economically with cleaning chemicals;
● Ability to move equipment (tables and chairs) across the campus into different venues;
● Attention to detail;
● Good time management skills;
● Ability to work under pressure; and
● Ability to multi-task.
Package & Remuneration
Basic Salary: R5,250 per month
