Introduction
We are currently recruiting for a Blockman to join our dynamic team, based in Worcester (Western Cape).
Job Description
The purpose of the Blockman role is to cut meat products to quality standards according to the Butchery Manager’s production plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement daily production plans
- Control stock
- POS and pricing
- Hygiene & housekeeping
- Customer service
Minimum Requirements
Formal Education and Training:
- Grade 10 school leaver’s certificate / NQF level 3 equivalent
- Grade 2 Meat Cutting Certificate
- Recognized Butchery Apprenticeship / Learnership
Experience:
- At least 3 – 5 years of experience in a retail meat market
- Super-marketing experience would be advantageous

- Cutting skills of all species
- De-boning
